INOVAGAIA successfully launches 'Scale Up With Us'
INOVAGAIA has just written a new chapter in its support for national entrepreneurship with the conclusion of the first edition of Scale Up With Us. Over the course of nine intensive weeks, this pioneering acceleration programme has prepared a select group of start-ups for the challenges of global scaling.
The programme followed a rigorous growth plan that began with the validation of metrics and the setting of ambitious OKRs. Through practical workshops and mentoring sessions, the founders explored essential areas such as customer-centric business design, led by Mart Kikas, and the building of robust sales machines with Paulo Pereira. The acceleration programme also benefited from the contribution of Tony dos Santos, who brought the cutting edge of Artificial Intelligence applied to Go-to-Market. In the final weeks, the focus was on the structure needed to support accelerated growth. João Franqueira addressed talent and culture management, whilst Carolina Dinis prepared the entrepreneurs for the challenges of fundraising. The closing ceremony of this historic first edition took place on 24 March, in an atmosphere of great enthusiasm and competitiveness. Demo Day put the founders to the test before a panel of leading judges, comprising Rui Machado (Inovagaia), Rute Sousa (COREangels Porto), Miguel Martins (3xP Global) and Rui Finteiro (Beta Capital). The jury’s final selections reflected the high technological standard and market viability of the participating projects. The overall winner was PartnershipNet, which impressed with its AI-based platform designed to revolutionise the global sponsorship sector. By ensuring a true measurement of ROI and the full digitalisation of processes, the start-up promises to transform strategic partnerships through data and efficiency at scale. Second place went to BAUU, which stood out with its Mobile Self Storage concept. By offering a “doorstep storage” solution, BAUU provides an innovative response to the logistical challenges of modern cities, focusing on total convenience for the user. Rounding off the podium, FactorAI secured third place by presenting a plug-and-play industrial intelligence system. Its Edge-AI solution enables Iberian SMEs to achieve immediate, secure operational digitalisation that is entirely cloud-independent, optimising efficiency on the ground. An Ecosystem of Disruptive Solutions In addition to the award winners, INOVAGAIA highlights the excellent performance and market potential of all the projects that took part in this first edition: AzurePhoton: Develops ambient light energy harvesting devices to power electronics and IoT devices, eliminating the need for battery replacement. UPinC: Focused on the agricultural sector, it uses IoT sensors and an AI platform to help farms and agricultural holdings optimise resources in real time. Vet Before Pet: Redefines pet ownership, using veterinary validation and AI to combat the illegal trade and create an ethical and safe ecosystem. Skillful: A software factory that transforms ideas into high-quality products through agile methodologies and customised digital solutions. Simplifyer: Transforms shopping receipts into financial clarity for consumers and strategic behavioural insights for brands and retailers. Following the success of this first edition of Scale Up With Us, INOVAGAIA reaffirms its role as a driver of innovation, preparing these companies to conquer the world from Gaia.
