INOVAGAIA brings vision and innovation to Web Summit 2025
INOVAGAIA returned to Lisbon for four intense days at Web Summit 2025. Four days of total immersion in innovation, continuous learning, gathering inspiration and fostering the connections that drive the entrepreneurial ecosystem. We’ve now returned to Gaia with our bags full of new insights, ideas and contacts that reinforce the path we’ve been building over the last few years. The knowledge we’ve gained and the connections we’ve made are the energy that drives us to continue empowering, accelerating and flying ever higher. This year marked a special moment: for the first time, INOVAGAIA was present with its own stand. And what a stand! The powerful image of the eye – a symbol of vision, focus and the future – stood out and captured the attention of hundreds of visitors. Truly striking!
Over the four days, the INOVAGAIA stand served as a meeting point for our incubatees – Pocket Theatre, Bauu, Visual Thinking, Impacte and SIDIS® – as well as for the winners of tickets from the Scale Up With Us Acceleration Programme – Títulos Sublimes and VaultHaus – and for various partners who support us, such as our associate from Atlântico Business School and Luiz Panareli from INDICO. We welcomed dozens of foreign start-ups, promoters and young entrepreneurs brimming with ideas and a desire to create. The connections made were numerous and valuable. Our participation also extended to the Startup Portugal stage, where, at the invitation of IAPMEI, we shared our experience of the Startup Visa programme. During this session, the success story of the incubated start-up SIDIS® Data Platform was presented, with Javier Ramírez, CEO of SIDIS®, and Luís Santos, representing INOVAGAIA, demonstrating how the Portuguese ecosystem is making a global impact. For INOVAGAIA’s president, António Miguel Castro, “INOVAGAIA’s presence at Web Summit 2025 was a milestone in our journey. We opted for our own stand, a bolder positioning and an image that reflects the vision and ambition we have for our ecosystem. The response we received confirmed that this was the right decision. The INOVAGAIA team demonstrated in Lisbon what truly sets us apart: expertise, energy and a deep sense of purpose.” He concludes: “Being on a global stage such as Web Summit means committing to supporting those who want to create, innovate and grow in an even more visible and determined way. Here, we have taken the first step towards an increasingly international, collaborative and transformative future.” More than just a presence, we brought and elevated the INOVAGAIA ethos: a collaborative spirit, ambition, openness to the world and a desire to raise Gaia’s profile on one of the biggest global stages for innovation. We also took the opportunity to showcase our ‘Scale Up With Us’ programme, reinforcing our mission to support those who want to grow. Web Summit 2025 was inspiring, challenging and unforgettable. And, as we always believe in the future… 2026 is our next goal!
