Douro Marina
Douro Marina and the development of human capital. Since the launch of this project in 2010, Douro Marina has identified its primary objective as developing a venture that would provide its customers and visitors with a range of very high-quality services, enabling them to enjoy memorable moments and experiences.

With this in mind, we embarked on this project by designing a nautical facility that would meet and exceed all international standards, particularly those defining levels of comfort and safety for water sports enthusiasts, followed at a later stage by the construction of a complex of buildings characterised by recognised architectural excellence and quality, designed to accommodate a diverse range of activities within its premises. However, we firmly believe that the success of this venture will only be achieved through a high-calibre response to the demands placed upon us, through the day-to-day work of our staff, their ongoing motivation and professional development, and that the human factor will undoubtedly be what sets us apart in the eyes of our customers. To this end, the Douro Marina team has adopted a working approach inspired by the hospitality industry and has developed ways to equip its staff with the training necessary for this professional ethos. This training begins at a basic level through guidance on how staff should carry out their duties in each role, complementing these soft skills with specific training, whether in the operation of equipment and maritime safety, or in the areas of tourism and customer service.
