BAUU

The main difference compared to traditional self-storage lies in mobility. Instead of the customer having to organise transport and travel to a warehouse, the storage space itself comes to you. This translates into significant savings in time and money, whilst reducing the environmental impact by eliminating unnecessary journeys and the need to hire commercial vehicles. At the heart of the service is the BAUU. A storage unit designed, developed and built from scratch in Portugal, entirely from wood. With an area of around 4 m² and a volume of 8 m³, each BAUU can accommodate the entire contents of a room or a one-bedroom flat, supporting loads of up to 1,000 kg. The timber undergoes phytosanitary treatment and the BAUU features natural ventilation, protecting belongings against mould, damp and the effects of the weather. The service is simple and designed for the customer’s convenience: the BAUU is delivered to your door on the date and at the location of your choice; you fill it at your own pace and lock it with your own padlock, retaining sole possession of the key; BAUU collects it and stores it at its premises for the desired period, with the BAUU accessible whenever necessary, by appointment. Security is a top priority. Items are secured using dedicated lashing straps; the transport trailer features metal panels and a metal door, and is opened using a unique code for each customer; and the warehouse is under 24-hour CCTV surveillance, equipped with fire and theft prevention systems. In short, BAUU offers a smarter, more convenient, sustainable and discreet storage experience, designed to move at each customer’s pace and literally take the weight off their shoulders.
