ALFATUBO, LDA, headquartered in Serzedo – V. N. Gaia, was founded in 1989 by two brothers – managing partners – using entirely domestic capital. It began operations in 1992 in the field of plastic pipework and fittings. It is now an undisputed leader in its field, thanks to a Quality Policy underpinned by a commitment to innovation, continuous improvement and leadership, as well as a focus on the training and motivation of its staff.
It provides efficient solutions for drinking water distribution, natural gas, wastewater, sanitation, central heating for buildings, geothermal energy, cable protection, telemetry and agriculture. ALFATUBO has a wide range of products certified by certification bodies in various European countries, including CERTIF (Portugal), AENOR (Spain) and LNE (France). For ALFATUBO, people are one of the fundamental pillars of its success. The creation of value and the promotion of continuous and sustained growth depends fundamentally on its competent and motivated workforce. The company provides ongoing training for its staff and also collaborates with external organisations, notably local schools and universities, opening its doors to work placements and direct contact with the world of work. Its current objectives are to extend its sphere of influence across the whole of Portugal and into foreign markets through the implementation of an investment programme in the municipality of V. N. Gaia, with a view to strengthening its competitiveness, increasing and improving its production and logistics capacity, thereby enabling the retention of existing jobs and opening the door to the recruitment of new staff.
